Crafted from hand written journals, videos, texts, emails, storytelling and an online chronicling of her experience, artist Heather Keller shares the remarkable story of her journey through breast cancer in her solo show, Chemo Barbie: My Lady Bits Journey Through Breast Cancer, which has earned a Fringe Encore Award.
From being a healthy, vegan runner to a cancer patient, Keller’s demonstrable courageousness in putting the show together has led to a personal catharsis, which offers perspective and the potential of helping others. She remarks, “Not everyone can live to tell about their journey. It’s an honor to do this.”
